VERSE: E, F#, A, CHORUS: A, E, F#, then up to C# for the lyrics "where the 'sky' hits the ground' Lyrics: That bird outside my window just took off and flew He goes where he must go and do what he must do I'm leaving tomorrow for Mexico Don't gotta tell you about it, I just go I'm heading to a land where the sky hits the ground When I get there, that's when I turn around (where the land hits the sky is where I turn around) Oh, I've seen the way the sunlight hits the rain And I've felt the way laughter cuts through pain Oh I don't need one single reason to believe Because I know it, I know it, I know it and that's all the proof I need. I'm leaving tomorrow for Mexico Don't gotta tell anyone about it, I just go I'm heading to a land where the sky hits the ground When I get there, that's when I turn around (where the land hits the sky is where I turn around)

SF Weekly: "San Franciscan by way of London Rebecca Cross takes up the challenge and wins it. While she draws on the traditions of Bob Dylan's storytelling and Buffy Sainte-Marie's unapologetic femininity, she also folds in unexpected rhythms and instrumentation to make a spare, torchy folk. Not that she shies away from love songs or politics, but with a vocal tone as crystalline as Sinead O'Connor's, Cross sounds fresh and pretty where you might expect well-worn. She even manages to pull off a sort of rap about plastic surgery; this sweet little voice has a strong command of language and a sharp wit that makes it work. She claims both Micropixie and Led Zeppelin as influences. She's hard to label, let alone stereotype. Remember that next time you see a girl and a guitar."
